Okay that game was exhausting and frustrating and terrifying and exhilarating, and we’re talking ALL about it! So much to discuss...

BIG NEWS EVERYBODY! Baylor beat TCU in Triple Overtime!

We’re doing this bad-news, better-news, good-news style, breaking down the offensive performance first. The offense sputtered and had the hardest time getting anything going, Charlie Brewer was off, John Lovett and JaMycal Hasty had very few big plays, and the WRs had trouble finding space. Some serious credit goes to the TCU defense, who missed very few tackles and locked down Denzel Mims and Tyquan Thornton virtually all day. Matt Rhule did a cuss, as Fank said on the podcast. That about sums it up.

BUT! The defense had a MUCH better day! Terrel Bernard was sensational, so was James Lynch, Grayland Arnold, Blake Lynch and many, many more. We can’t say enough about how impressive this defense was, only getting stronger as the game went on and causing Patterson to just shrug and take the knee even though he had 3 timeouts and > 30 seconds on the clock in the 4th quarter. Thanks Gary!

And oh yeah, we’re spending a second on the fact that Rhule iced his own kicker to bring in John Mayers WHO JUST HAPPENED TO NAIL A 51-YARD FIELD GOAL IN IMPRESSIVE FASHION!

AND!! Overtiiiiiiiiime! That was insane. We’re walking through that too. And oh yeah, my middle daughter makes a cameo.
