Podcast: Oklahoma and Kansas State Stuff

We have no clever title this week. Sorry.

NCAA Football: Baylor at Oklahoma
Us too, Coach. Us too.
Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

We’re back on the podcast talking about what went down between Baylor and Oklahoma last Saturday, plus looking ahead to the Kansas State Wildcats as they come to town this weekend.

Oklahoma: While there was a ton to be frustrated with last Saturday, especially on the defensive side of the ball, there were plenty of silver linings, and we’re not feeling quite as bad as we were after the first loss of the season against Duke. We’re talking about both the good and the bad, the stuff to build upon and the stuff that definitely needs improving.

Kansas State: This is a Kansas State squad that isn’t quite living up to the Snydercat standard of the past. The team is ranked below Kansas at this point in S&P+, but it still has that “run away and hide” mentality on offense where as long as they get their 4 yards, they’re fine taking 37 minutes for a single drive. The defense, again while struggling, has been very good at limiting explosive pass plays (counterpoint: Will Grier threw for over 350 yards against them and had 5 TDs). We’re talking about all of this too!
