We’re doing something a little different this week. Since the Astros are playing in the World Series and both Fank and Coffey are big Astros fans, we didn’t record at our usual time. Instead, Coffey and I hopped on a bit early to give y’all a recap of the West Virginia game in which Baylor juuuuust almost had an epic comeback in 6158 tradition. It’s worth its own episode.
Tomorrow night (the Astros don’t play on Thursday), we’ll record a full preview of the Texas game, plus picks and shoutouts and all of that. Look for that late Thursday night or Friday.
But, for now, here’s the Homecoming recap! It was a tale of 3⁄4 & 1⁄4, where Zach Smith did an admirable job, but Charlie Brewer stepped into the QB role in what was probably thought to be “garbage time,” then proceeded to lead what was an epic almost-comeback along with the sensational underclassmen Tristan Ebner, John Lovett, JaMycal Hasty, Denzel Mims, Gavin Holmes, and of course, our boy, the walk-on kicker Jay Sedwick.
We hope you enjoy this episode, and we’re looking forward to previewing the first win of the season, coming against Texas. Sic ‘em!
