Tuesday DBR: Bracketology Season

What does the world of basketball look like at this point in the season?

Bracketology and Rankings Fun

It's that time of year when journalists and fans are beginning to seriously project the NCAA tournament. The good news: Baylor is an almost unanimous pick to go dancing. The neutral news: no one seems to agree what seed we'll be. The bad news: no one seems to consider us a lock for the Final Four.

This particular bracket gives Baylor a legitimate shot of hitting Virginia in the Sweet 16, a game that would end 21-20 in one team's favor.

Parrish spews Baylor love.

MBB Hosts TCU Tomorrow Night

Tipoff is set for 7:30 CST in the Ferrell Center. I expect the student section to be absolutely nuts. Because, you know, it's TCU. And this season taught us to hate them almost as much as they hate us. Contain Kyan Anderson and survive. Fail to contain Kyan Anderson and survive with considerably more difficulty. Please contain Kyan Anderson, Bears.

Game will be broadcast on ESPNEWS.

WBB in Stillwater Tomorrow Night

In a game that will not be televised, the Lady Bears will seek to down Oklahoma State, who are a shadow of last year's team. The Lady Bears are seemingly unstoppable in conference play this year, and the only threat to another conference championship (barring catastrophic injury problems) is Oklahoma.

Niya Johnson Named to Dawn Staley Award Watch List

The Dawn Staley Award is presented to the most exemplary collegiate guard every season. Johnson is currently leading all guards nationally in assists per game, and is third in assist-to-turnover ratio.

National Signing Day Tomorrow

Adventures of the Daily Bears Report

I'm in Germany, and I never realized that Germans are arguably as sports crazy as Americans. As part of my immersion experience, I'll be attending a Bundesliga game tomorrow evening. The game is between 1. FC Köln and VfB Stuttgart. The game holds little significance in the grand scheme of things, since neither team is a serious contender for one of the international spots at the top of the Bundesliga table, but I've been told that Köln fans are on the "riotous psychopath" end of the loyalty spectrum, and I'm about to become one of them. The Thursday DBR will contain a report of my findings.

The Daily Goat

Hennes, Köln's mascot, doesn't care one bit what you or anyone else thinks of him. He's a goat that's worshipped by 50,000 Rheinlanders in a beer rage; he doesn't really need to care about anything.
