Wednesday DBR: Surviving Hilton Magic

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

Surviving Hilton Magic

Tonight Baylor MBB will attempt to make history and win in Ames. It won't be an easy task; the Cyclones are dangerous under Fred Hoiberg's command and they're almost invincible at home. Baylor came close to unseating Kansas in Lawrence already this year. Taking out Iowa State would likely push us up a seed come Selection Sunday.

The Big 12 is finally starting to take shape as the regular season comes to a close, with Kansas and Iowa State as clear frontrunners, Baylor, WVU, and Oklahoma filling in the rest of the top half, and the rest of the league fighting it out for one of the final places in the tournament. Every team is capable of going on a winning streak at any time.

Tune in to ESPNU at 8 p.m. CST to catch the game.

Baseball Hosts Northwestern State

At 4 p.m. at Baylor Ballpark, Baylor is scheduled to host Northwestern State. I've been told that Waco currently resembles a frozen-over version of Hell though, so I'm not sure if the fixture with the Devils will actually occur. Stay tuned to @BaylorBaseball for updates.

Lady Bears in Norman

Baylor has already clinched an undisputed Big 12 title. Do you think Kim Mulkey is satisfied? If you do, you clearly haven't been around for very long. The Lady Bears are gunning for that No. 1 seed in the postseason, and the only way to do that is to brutalize the rest of the schedule and win the Big 12 tournament.

Tony Nicholson Unveils Grey Alts

I have mixed feelings on these, but the recruits seem to love them. Nicholson followed up this tweet with replies to friends in which he said upgraded gloves and cleats were also on the way, and that this uniform was a concept that just arrived yesterday. Maybe Nike has more in store for us.

Ominous Tweets

Shawn Oakman has put the NCAA on blast. I'm not sure who he was talking about, but it sounds like a sad story is afoot.
