Spring Football Starts Today
Two straight league titles? Art Briles wants 12. He's building a dynasty at Baylor (and recruiting 11-year-olds). http://t.co/woKfPjKyUi

Art Briles is in the empire business. He has a loyal staff, an heir apparent, the love of his players, and the unanimous support of the administration and the fans.
Today, Baylor begins their second consecutive title defense. They return the entire offensive and defensive lines, the vast majority of their rushing and receiving yards, their entire defensive secondary, and a star linebacker who was only a redshirt freshman last season and was a block in the back away from turning the Cotton Bowl from an upset into a massacre. The biggest question is at quarterback, where three talented individuals will vie for a starting position. The one that wins will likely be great as usual.
Baseball Cancels Tuesday Northwestern State
Wednesday Still On
Apparently the weather in Waco is downright yucky, so No. 25 Baylor has cancelled its fixture against Northwestern State, but tomorrow's game is still on for now. Stay tuned.

Baylor is hosting both the Big 12 and the NCAA Championships at the Hurd Tennis Center later this spring. Nationals are May 14-16 and will feature the top 16 men's and women's teams in the nation. At this point in time, it's hard to envision either Baylor team missing out on the event, since both sit firmly in the top ten in their respective categories. Both teams also feature legitimate contenders for individual awards, including Julian Lenz, Vince Schneider, and Ema Burgic.

Wide Right & Natty Lite is probably my favorite SB Nation Big 12 blog besides ODB, and they made this remarkable post that accurately depicts every Big 12 basketball coach by comparing them to a wild animal.
