Men's Golf Wins UTSA Oak Hills Invitational

The individual honor for Kyle Jones is impressive as well- apparently San Antonio is his stomping ground. This is a good start to the spring for a team that had an up and down 2014. They're back in action on Friday in Houston.

Women's Golf Wins Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge

What a corporate resume. Cybersecurity, stealth bombers, collegiate women's golf tournaments. Anyway, Baylor won, beating out 9 of the nation's top 15 teams despite being unranked. The closest competitor was Southern Cal, who came in four strokes behind Baylor.

Lady Bears Host Oklahoma

At 9-2 in conference play, Oklahoma represent the only realistic threat to another Baylor conference championship. The Lady Bears can put a huge dent in the Sooners' aspirations tonight with a win at home, but it won't come easy. The majority of OU's losses came in non-conference and they've been hot ever since. They also get two shots at Baylor before the regular season ends, and could force a split title if they win out.

Meanwhile the Lady Bears are attracting increasing national attention.

Tipoff is at 7 p.m. on FSSW+. I have no idea how you get that, but there's no chance of finding it in Germany.

Busy Weekend Ahead

It's gonna be a fun weekend, with the following teams competing:

  • Men's Basketball
  • Women's Basketball
  • Track and Field
  • Softball
  • Baseball
  • Men's Tennis
  • Women's Tennis
  • Equestrian
In fact, Acrobatics and Tumbling is the only spring team that isn't active this weekend. With any luck (and we'll need it, with MBB and Equestrian both facing major opponents) we'll be able to see Baylor sweep another weekend just like this past one.
