Wallace named Big 12 Co-Freshman of the Week

Because the Big 12 is all about hared titles, Kristy Wallace was named Big 12 Co-Freshman of the Week for her strong performance against Oklahoma State. The Australian guard will be a fixture of Kim Mulkey's offense for four full seasons at this rate, and I can't wait to see what she'll do s a senior.

This is a legit top five team, and there's youth across the board. I'm confident that there's a national championship in this team before Nina Davis graduates, especially with a wealth of 5-star post players coming in next year.

The Lady Bears play a good Kansas State team tonight at 7 p.m. on Fox Sports Southwest.

Fun fact: the Lady Bears have outscored their opponents 630-292 in the paint this season.

MBB preps for Kansas

Breaking: Oklahoma is good.

We played Oklahoma relatively close on the road and likely would have one with slightly stronger guard play and free throw shooting. Oklahoma just waltzed into Austin and dominated No. 10 Texas to the tune of a 21 point victory. OU is scary in transition and might be the best team in the league in terms of form right now. Still, Kansas has that voodoo. Most Bill Self teams are in Kill Mode by January, but for some reason this year's iteration is mortal. Baylor has an opportunity to pounce tomorrow, and a win brings them MUCH closer to a tournament bid.

Do I expect us to win? Not necessarily. Do I think we can? Certainly.
