Monday DBR: MACtion Week

Baylor's NFL stars shine, and football gears up for their Friday night guest appearance in MACtion, the greatest football you've never watched.

Bears in the NFL

Baylor had several players make strong showings in the league yesterday. Robert Griffin III had 267 yards and a 76.8% completion rate with no touchdowns and no interceptions against the Texans. Washington's offensive line play continues to be miserable, and JJ Watt had a field day and lived in the Skins' backfield. Griffin was responsible for one of his sacks, but otherwise played well in the loss.

Terrance Williams had 4 receptions for 50 yards and a futile touchdown at home against the 49ers. The Cowboys looked decrepit yesterday, but Williams is defining himself as a clear second option for Tony Romo behind Dez Bryant.

Kendall Wright pulled in 6 receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown in the Titans' victory against Kansas City. Wright has a fellow scoring threat on the field now in Justin Hunter, but should have another 1000 yard season when he gets into midseason form.

Former Baylor kicker Matt Bryant hit two 50+ yard field goals to force overtime and secure a victory against the Saints. It was brilliant and I resent him.

Cyril Richardson did not play in Buffalo's overtime win over Chicago.

Ahmad Dixon signed with the Bears after a brief stint on the Vikings' practice squad. It's good to see him on a team's 53-man roster in an age when good safeties are hard to come by.

Soccer Blanks Northwestern State, 5-0

Baylor Soccer have scored 10 goals in 2 games. 7 different players have scored those goals. That's offense.

Men's Golf Leads at Gopher Invitational

I'm not a golf aficionado and I know next to nothing about the sport (other than the fact that I'm extremely bad at it) so make of this news what you will.
