Some key news came out of Baylor Football's weekly press conference yesterday, most of which was regarding QB Bryce Petty, who cracked two transverse processes in his back versus SMU on Sunday. The injury, which is minor and will heal on its own, is a painful one. Briles says Petty will not play on Saturday against Northwestern State unless he is 100% healthy. I hope we sit him.
If Seth Russell gets the start, we will basically be looking at the 2015 offense plus Levi Norwood. Shock Linwood, Devin Chafin, Johnny Jefferson, Jay Lee, KD Cannon, Davion Hall, and Corey Coleman all return next year, though there will be some changes along the line with RT Troy Bake lost to graduation and LT Spencer Drango possibly heading to the NFL draft a year early.
Petty said he will be ready to go on Saturday. Of course, the coaching staff still makes the final call.
Baylor faces Northwestern State on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in McLane Stadium.

College football: How Baylor and Texas A&M are ushering in a new era of Progressivism down south. The fact that Baylor and Texas A&M are portrayed in a positive light in a publication like Rolling Stone is amazing, but the piece is actually extremely complimentary of both schools.

Podcast Delayed
We recorded a podcast last night, but unfortunately it was delayed when I had a catastrophic computer crash that erased no only my audio, but most of my pictures and text files as well. We'll figure out some way to replace it and have it up as soon as we can. Thanks!
