Saturday DBR: Meet the Bears

Today, fans from across Texas are welcome to watch Baylor football practice and meet the coaches and players afterwards.

So, the tailgating area is excellent and should be even more polished by the end of the month. I'm a bit disappointed that the Bear Walk won't be across the main pedestrian bridge, since it would be a great way to draw students into the experience, but I can't really complain considering the new digs. The video also gives us a rarely-seen angle of the new stadium from Touchdown Alley, and I like it a lot.

CampBU Picture Day

Tre'von. Armstead. Is. Huge. Like, Shawn Oakman huge.

The 2010 class is a good one. Every remaining member will be a major role player, and all five pictured above could end up in the League.

My eyes are melting because they're just that beautiful.

Fuller Out 6-8 Weeks

Yesterday it was reported that Clay Fuller sustained a fractured clavicle at practice that will keep him off the field for six to eight weeks. Lynx Hawthorne and KD Cannon appear to be early candidates to replace his production on the field. Thankfully we're deep at receiver. Get well soon, Clay! Enjoy being engaged while you're not allowed to catch footballs.

What a gentleman. Quality.

Meet the Bears

I'll be out of pocket all day as I head to Waco to enjoy Meet the Bears and some good food. Fans won't be watching a scrimmage this year; it will be a regular practice, which may be almost as interesting. Practice begins at 10:30 a.m. at the outdoor practice fields next to the Allison Indoor Practice Facility. Shuttles will run from the Ferrell Center lot beginning at 10:00 a.m. Inflatables will be set up inside for the kids, and players will hold an autograph session with fans after practice. I hope to see some of you there, so just tweet me if you're around and want to say hi.
