Saturday 5.10.2014 Daily Bears Report: Bears Still Waiting

The last day of the 2014 NFL Draft kicks off in about an hour, and there have been no Bears selected yet. That will change.

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports
Never cut a tree down in the wintertime. Never make a negative decision in the low time. Never make your most important decisions when you are in your worst moods. Wait. Be patient. The storm will pass. The spring will come. -- Robert H. Schuller

Because of the awful spectre of exams, you guys get me again for the DBR today.  It's been a while, so I'm a bit rusty, but I think we can make it through.

Another 2015 Football Commit:

The big story in Baylor Football at the moment is the commitment of 2015 CB Jordan Tolbert, which I covered last night.  He's a great prospect at a need position for the Bears, who now have 9 commits for this class.

The 2014 NFL Draft:

The big story in current events in the larger world of sports is, of course, the NFL Draft.  I thought for a while last night with the slight run on running backs that we might see Lache Seastrunk go off the board.  Alas, it was not to be.  He's now among SB Nation's top remaining players as Round 4 begins in the link below, as is OG Cyril Richardson.

RG3 dazzles his new ‘Friends for Life’ - Higher Education
Whether sponsors pay a minimum of $2,500 for a chance to have their picture taken with him, someone pays $1,600 for an autographed pair of Superman socks or bidders flock to a silent auction for a Redskins jersey, it’s good to be friends with Robert Griffin III if you want to raise money for your organization.

That event, of course, is where RGIII shared the following:

That's good stuff!

Josh Gordon continues being stupid:

You can't fix it.

It did lead to this, however:
