Hoops @ South Carolina

At 11 a.m. today at the University of South Carolina, Baylor MBB takes on the Gamecocks in their second game of the season. The game is part of ESPN's Tip-Off Marathon. South Carolina beat North Florida 81-56 in their season opener.

I finished a semester project for the class I have at 11, so I'll be rewarding myself with three hours of sleep and some basketball.

Brady Heslip, Destroyer of Worlds

Brady has continued to destroy worlds in the NBA D-league, where he's shooting threes at an even more impressive rate. He leads the league in scoring and is getting the attention of the national media.

He is shooting 55.6% from three and has scored twice in the paint. Stop that, Brady. That's just not healthy.

Lady Bears fall to Kentucky in Lexington

The Lady Bears lost a game that they led by double digits at halftime by double digits. Sloppy play plagued Nina Davis and her supporting cast and allowed Kentucky to creep back into it in the second half and eventually win by ten. Kristy Wallace fouled out on a somewhat dubious call.

Kentucky is a very good team laden with seniors and Baylor is dealing with youth at almost every position. Like last year, Mulkey will get them in shape.

Blackout on Saturday, Playoff Rankings Tonight

If Oklahoma was indeed a K-State 2012-esque turning point, then Baylor is now a whirling death machine that no opponent in the country wants to touch. Let's prove that on Saturday.

Playoff rankings come out tonight. There's been a trend of disappointment over the last few weeks, so no matter what happens just remember that hate feeds the Bears.
