Volleyball Falls to West Virginia

Note: You may want to turn your volume down. The music in the video is just too much for me in the early morning.

This team is clearly improved from last year's squad, but has still struggled in the Big 12. Strong recruiting should allow Coach Barnes to make a run for a conference title in the next few years, but right now, Baylor Volleyball is not near the top of the conference.

Soccer Home Finale Rescheduled

Sunday's home finale v UT changed to 6pm start.
Rare Sun. night tilt @ Betty Lou!

#DefenseU #SicEm
— Baylor Soccer (@BaylorFutbol) October 22, 2014

It's good to see this game avoid the chaos of Homecoming, since that surely would have affected potential attendance and team morale. I'll be going to this, if I'm not dead from the Homecoming grind.

Basketball Season Nears

Men's Basketball comes along a little later, with their first game against McNeese State tipping off at 8:30 p.m. on November 14 in Waco. I'm starting to get excited for our game against Texas A&M on December 9.

Random Sports Moment of the Day

Many of you know that I (along with a few other members of ODB) am an enthusiast of everything German, especially German soccer. As filler for today's DBR, I found an incredible save made two day's ago by FC Bayern München's keeper Manuel Neuer, widely regarded to be the best goalkeeper in the world. I also want him to enroll at Baylor and play linebacker/tight end.

Dat reaction time doe. Granted, Bayern are winning 5-0 en route to a 7-1 victory, but look at the completely neutral reactions of Neuer's teammates, as if to say, "This is pedestrian, Manuel, bounce it off your nose like a trained seal next time."
