Cross country runner Rachel Johnson won her fifth individual event on Saturday  with a first-place finish in the Pre-National Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana. The team as a whole finished seventh, behind Princeton and ahead of Lamar.

Lupieri perfect at USTA/ITA Regionals

Baylor senior tennis player Tony Lupieri of Zagreb, Croatia, had a perfect day at the USTA/ITA Regional meet yesterday, finishing 2-0 in singles play and 2-0 in doubles play with his partner Felipe Rios.Lupieri is now 6-1 in singles play during the fall season.

Shankle and Anderson lose in USTA/ITA Semifinals

Blair Shankle and Kelley Anderson fell in a close decision to a no. 1 ranked pair from Texas A&M during women's doubles semi-finals yesterday at the USTA/ITA Regionals. Shankle and Anderson, a sophomore and a freshman respectively, were unable to convert four match points before losing the deciding third set.

Equestrian upsets No. 2 Oklahoma State

I know nothing about Equestrian, how it works, or how winners are decided. In fact, it seems strange to me that the NCAA recognizes a sport that is as dependent on horses as it is on riders. Still, No. 4 Baylor beat No. 2 Oklahoma State on Saturday, making the Bears serious national title contenders. Congrats, ladies!
