Good morning! First off, from pbpope:
OurDailyPodcast needs your input! The podcast records tonight, and we're is looking to make the quick-fire style question segment from last week's episode a permanent fixture in the podcast. The questions don't have to even be relevant to Baylor sports, as long as they're fun/funny/can be answered quickly. Send your quick-fire questions to OurDailyPodcast (at) gmail (.) com. If you have serious questions that you would like answered or comments for the show, email those also and they'll read them on the show.
Baylor Volleyball broke their three-game losing streak in style last night, taking down SMU 3 sets to none. Adrien Richburg broke a Baylor record for attack percentage in a three-set match, hitting 1.00 with 10 kills in 10 attempts. The Bears remain at home for the Baylor Classic this weekend, taking on Tulsa, UT Arlington, and MIssissippi State across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Baylor Football moved up to number 23 in the AP poll released yesterday, and to within one of being ranked in the Coaches' Poll. The Bears have been ranked at least once for four years straight, after a 16-year drought. If you missed it yesterday, Mark looked at Baylor's opponent next week, Buffalo.
Baylor Soccer, currently undefeated for the season, earned their highest-ever ranking in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll, coming in at No. 9. The Bears are also ranked in the top 20 in the other two soccer polls, and will take on Missouri and Texas A&M this weekend in College Station.
Baylor Men's Basketball will kick off their season against Colorado as a part of the Tip-Off Tripleheader, held in the American Airline Center. Their next game, against South Carolina at home, will also be a part of the ESPN Tip-Off Marathon. In other basketball news, Baylor picked up a top-20 commit for the 2016 class, with 6'4" small forward Mark Vital announcing his pledge yesterday.
Mark will be along in the comments or with a separate story around noon to round up the news and information that has come out since this morning, so be sure to check back for that!
