USA TODAY Sports

The Baylor Bears face Iowa tonight in the finals of the NIT, played in Madison Square Garden in New York City. The Bears held on against BYU on Tuesday night to earn the spot in the final game, and will look to bring a title back to Baylor behind the better-than-ever play of senior guard Pierre Jackson and junior forward Cory Jefferson.

Baylor Baseball moved to one game within .500 with their 6-1 win over DBU last night, and flashed some of the offensive power that has been lacking so far in the season. A four-run fourth inning gave the Bears the lead for good, including a bases-loaded double by Cal Towey that scored three after a bases-loaded HBP of Logan Brown. The Bears face Big 12 opponent West Virginia this weekend, with games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Baylor Football will hold their annual spring scrimmage at 1:00 PM this Saturday at the Highers Complex practice fields. The conclusion of the program's 15-day spring drills, the controlled scrimmage will feature most of the team that fans will see next year, including the re-worked and improved defense. There was something different about Baylor's spring practice this year, says ESPN Big 12 blogger David Ubben-despite the lack of transcendent talent like RGIII, the full team looked better than ever. Design details for the new Baylor Stadium were released at a Student Government Town Hall talk last night, including student seating.

The Baylor Lady Bears picked up a commitment from Iesha Smalls, the no. 19 prospect in ESPN's HoopGurlz 100, at the McDonalds' All-America game yesterday. Smalls, a 6'0" wing, brings a boost to the 2013 class, and will provide some of the offense that is leaving with Baylor's trio of Destiny Williams, Brooklyn Pope, and Nae-Nae Hayden.

Baylor Women's Tennis fell to A&M last night, 4-2, despite taking the doubles point from the Aggies first. The Lady Bears also took a singles point when unranked Jordaan Sanford defeated no. 55 Nazari Urbina, but ultimately lost to the no. 4 ranked Aggies. Baylor hosts a double-header on Friday, playing Prairie View A&M at 2:00 PM and Big 12 rival Kansas at 5:00 PM.
