11.26.2013 Daily Bears Report: Baylor Resolute

Baylor MBB puts its winning streak on the line tonight against Dayton, Baylor Football moves past a disappointing loss, and we're recording a special Tuesday Night ODP due to the Thanksgiving Week.

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

Hey, we played a basketball game last night!  We won.  It was pretty fun to watch, considering it took place inside what looked like a high school auditorium and there was a crazy Swiss guy draining threes for most of the game.

Moving on, there are two major events going down tonight in the world of ODB, one of which is obviously more important than the other.  Baylor MBB takes on the Dayton Flyers at 8:30 PM central time, that's the bigger news.  At the same time, the ODP crew will be recording this week's second podcast.  We're pushing things up a day so that it will be out in time for Thursday travels and we can spend the holiday with our families.  They exist, don't look at me like that.

A message from Mr. Pope on that front:

Given the Thanksgiving Holiday and travel plans, OurDailyPodcast is recording a night early. Whether we're able to release the podcast on Wednesday or Thursday remains to be seen (it's complicated and has to do with storage), but nevertheless we need your help today! If you have Community Feedback or No Huddle questions for us, please send us those questions today! As always, you can email those questions to OurDailyPodcast(at)gmail(dot) com, or you can call That Good Ol' Baylor Phone Line at (774) 25-SICEM (257-4236). Thanks again for all the calls you sent in for Sunday's show, they were fantastic. Keep 'em coming!

As for everything else, if you'll notice, there is a new feature on the front page from SB Nation's Spencer Hall.  Yes, it is about last week's game.  Yes, it is difficult to read.  No, I'm not going to take it down.  I'd have it there even if Baylor wasn't involved in the game covered by the piece, because Spencer Hall is that good.  I'm sorry if it hurts to read.

The big news from this is that Briles reportedly told ESPN 1660's David Smoak that Ahmad Dixon will be returning to his safety position for the upcoming game against TCU.  And the townspeople rejoiced!  There are other great quotes and video from the event yesterday, which gave a little insight into where the players are and how they're feeling.
