10.24.2013 Daily Bears Report: Better Offense than RGIII, Kansas Prep, and Week 9 TV Schedules

Oh, we fancy huh. All the news that is fit to print for your Baylor Bears.

These are heady times for Baylor Nation, or the Baylor Republic, or whatever you want to call it. The football team is riding high at #8 in the latest BCS rankings with an undefeated record and a look about them that says they are for real. Basketball starts in weeks with a team that may have the most chemistry of any in the Scott Drew Era. Baseball ... well baseball is still months away but that's fine. Two sports is enough.

Amid all that excitement, life here at ODB is pretty good, I'd say. Traffic has never been higher, the fanbase feels more engaged than ever before, and the Podcast has really taken off. I'm excited.

Speaking of podcasts, both of our scheduled third wheels for this week's Wednesday show dropped out, so Peter and I ended up doing it by ourselves last night. That should go up today. I'm interested to see how people respond to it, since it isn't our normal routine. I had a good time, regardless. We talked a lot about Kansas, a little about people keeping chickens as pets, and then did our best to break down the Big 12. The only thing that was missing was Balcones in my glass.
