Art Briles metaphorically skins cats, Bryce Hager has a career game, and volleyball!

Ah, that Wednesday lull.

Art Briles was named the CBS Sports Coach of the (half) Year after leading the Bears to a 5-0 record, with the chance to go 3-0 in conference, something Baylor has yet to achieve. Briles describes his approach to creating the country's best offense in a way that only a Texan could: "There's a lot of different ways to skin a cat. You use the knife you feel best about."  It might be interesting to see him skin that cat in a shootout situation.

Baylor linebacker Bryce Hager had a career game on Saturday, making 18 tackles, and was rewarded with the Lott IMPACT Player of the Week honor. This award, sponsored by the Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation, also includes $1000 given to the general scholarship fund at Baylor. Hager had two tackles for loss and a sack in the Bears' win over Kansas State.

Volleyball will look to earn their second conference win tonight when they take on TCU at 7 p.m. in the Ferrell Center. The Bears are 9-11 on the season, but defeated West Virginia in their last match.

Also, bring a jacket to Homecoming. It'll be chilly.
