Per Jon Rothstein (@JonRothstein), 2014 SG Kobie Eubanks will not be cleared by the NCAA for what I am speculating, are academic reasons.
BREAKING - Baylor freshman Kobie Eubanks will not be cleared by the NCAA + will miss the 14-15 season, source told @CBSSports. Story coming.

Former Pitt target Kobe Eubanks is not academically eligible for his freshman season at Baylor this year.

Eubanks was expected by some (including myself) to be an immediate impact freshman, potentially replacing some of the shooting that was lost with the graduation of Brady Heslip. We expected to see more of Sophomore forward Johnathan Motley anyways, but it could be argued there is more pressure on him to produce quickly. It is possible we may even see the rangy shooter '14 SG Damiyne Durham a little early, as he was expected to redshirt his first year in Waco.
The silver lining to this cloud may be the forecast of the '15 recruiting class. Eubanks now joins, in theory, '15 SG King McClure. The Baylor Bears might have points on points with these dynamic guards paired together for an extra year.
This post will be updated as more becomes available.
