Long rumored to be one of Baylor's top remaining targets in the 2013 class, Ish Wainwright cut his list to 4 today with Baylor firmly in the mix. Here's the tweet:
Ish Wainright just called me to say he's cut his list to St. John's, Texas, Baylor and Ohio State. Story coming.

To be honest, I have no idea which school should feel best about its chances at this point. St. Johns fans might considering their school wasn't even really involved in Wainwright's recruitment until recently. They've made up a lot of ground to earn a spot on this list with teams that have been recruiting Wainwright for years.
The 6-6, 220-lb small forward is ranked #26 overall by ESPN and would be a terrific complement to Johnathan Motley, Baylor's sole 2013 commit so far. Rivals is a little less positive about him and ranks him "only" 49th. 247Sports is similarly down with Wainwright 60th on their Top247. I'm not tremendously knowledgeable about basketball recruits, but I trust those that are, and the ones that talk about Wainwright do so in glowing terms. I'll see going forward if I can find anything else about him just in case things go our way.
His highlights...
Work your magic, Drew.
