Iowa State Downs Baylor in Ames

It was a game until 12:00 minutes left to go when Iowa State went lights out from the field and Baylor had no response.

Let me stop you right there. Baylor is good, we're actually really good. Iowa State was just great and at home on top of that.

I won't belabor the point, but to be calling doom and gloom on this team is just simply knee-jerk. Your Baylor Bears have two losses, to teams with a combined zero losses. That should say something to you. If it doesn't let me add this: neither of those losses have been at home.

There are some areas of concern (transition defense to name one) and a SERIOUS problem (turnovers), but to be worried about the direction of this team is to be equating losses to football losses.

DeAndre Kane absolutely killed us tonight. I think it is safe to say that without him Iowa State would have gone quietly in to the night. The cyclones are good, and if you don't have them as your Big 12 favorites right now you are doing it wrong. The Big 12 has always been tough and winning on the road is a luxury. I won't belabor everything that is out there right now on this game, but while we have to figure out our turnover issue, we don't need to be worrying about the course of this team.
