WBB: Baylor Falls at Oklahoma, 64-68

Baylor snaps a 25-game winning streak in a tough battle on the road to Oklahoma.

Let me begin by saying that I was unable to watch this game. I don't have Fox Sports and the game wasn't on the radio in Dallas (that I found), so the best I could do was follow along on Twitter and cringe.

Oklahoma jumped out to a quick 12-2 lead in the first five minutes and while Baylor worked hard to catch up, they were never able to tie it up or take the lead in the first half. In the second half, Baylor took the lead with 6:43 remaining in the game and held onto that lead until Oklahoma made a three pointer with 1:49 remaining. After Nina Davis made a layup 20 seconds later, Baylor never scored again while Oklahoma went to the line 3 times and made 5 of 6 free throws.

Nina Davis finished the game with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Alexis Prince finished with 12 points and Imani Wright had 9 points. Niya Johnson, after getting 17 assists in the first meeting, only managed 5 in this game. Baylor finished with 22 fouls to Oklahoma's 13. Baylor committed 10 turnovers to 10 assists. Baylor shot 29% from the three while Oklahoma shot 35%.

Overall, this loss isn't the end of the world, but I do think it puts us on the outside looking in for the final 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. Just play the rest of the games and hope to get revenge in the Big 12 tournament.
