The Lady Bears started off slow today in the conference opener against (18) Oklahoma State, allowing the Cowgirls to get up quickly to an 11-2 start. Baylor didn't score its first field goal until 16:13 remained in the half. While Oklahoma State was playing pretty good defense, it also seemed like the Lady Bears weren't able to find their rhythm, only shooting 35.5% in the paint. They were able to tie the game with 11:03 on the clock but then shot their final bucket at 5:22 and Oklahoma State went on an 8-0 run to take a six point lead into the half.

Watching the second half, the Lady Bears found their rhythm and stepped up the defense. Nina Davis scored a majority of her points in the second half and ended up scoring more in the second half (13) than the entire Oklahoma State team (12). Alexis Prince (6) and Khadijiah Cave (7) rounded out the leading scorers in the second half, so three players combined to score more points than their opponent. On the defensive front, Baylor pulled down 18 defensive rebounds in the second half. It seemed like every shot by a Cowgirl had one Lady Bear contesting the shot and the other four under the rim, blocking out the other players.

For the whole game, Nina Davis led all scorers with 22 points, and complimented that with 11 rebounds, giving her six double-doubles on the year, the 17th of her career. Khadijiah Cave finished with 15 points and Kristy Wallace had 11. Sune Agbuke added 9 boards of her own and Niya Johnson had 9 assists.
