WBB: (3) Lady Bears Roll Past TCU, 89-67

Baylor makes sure a win over TCU doesn't feel like a loss.

Baylor came to Fort Worth ready for some ball, and they played well. They capped off the front half of conference play with a solid win over a surprising TCU team, a team that has been playing well at home, having only last to ranked opponent since December.

TCU did come to play and was able to hang with the Lady Bears early on. Baylor only had a 3 point advantage with 7:30 left in the first half and were able to start to pull away, going into the half up by 12. After what looked to be a bit of f slow start to the half, the Lady Bears started surging after about 2 minutes and didn't let up until just over 5 minutes were left in the game. Baylor finished the game outscoring TCU 60-24 in the paint.

Nina Davis had another stellar game, picking up the double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds. She was joined by Khadijiah Cave with 21 points and 9 rebounds, making the first game Baylor has had two scorers reach 20 points in conference since Baylor beat Oklahoma on February 24, 2014, the only conference game last year for Baylor that featured two 20 point scorers. Sune Agbuke added 12 points and 6 rebounds. Niya Johnson finished with 9 assists and 4 points. As a team, Baylor out rebounded TCU 45-28 and has 12 more assists.

Baylor currently has the second longest winning streak in the country, behind only undefeated (1) South Carolina (19-0). and has now won 17 in a row over TCU.
