The Big 12 Conference has spent the morning announcing its major awards and all-conference teams in Women's Basketball, a field largely dominated the last few years by the Baylor Lady Bears. This year is no different. Of the four player awards given out by the conference, Baylor players took home three, with senior PG Odyssey Sims, a frontrunner for just about every national trophy, being named Defender and Player of the Year and Nina Davis as the Freshman of the Year. Sims leads the country in scoring at 29.6 points per game.

As far as the All-Big12 teams go, the aforementioned Sims and Davis were Baylor's only representatives on the First or Second Teams (both made the First), but were joined as Honorable Mentions by Mackenzie Robertson and Niya Johnson. Sims was also placed on the All-Defensive team (obviously), and Davis on the All-Freshman team (again, obviously).
All of this comes, of course, just days after the Lady Bears captured their fourth consecutive Big 12 Championship. Congratulations, Ladies!
