By now you've probably heard the big news from today's recruiting weekend: Baylor Football has new helmet designs on-hand in Waco, including a reflective gold top with what looks like green (perhaps black, but I think green) interlocking BU and two different matte black concepts differentiated by the decal added.
I'm curious how people feel about the helmets. The reaction on twitter, particularly from players and recruits, seems overwhelmingly positive. We've even got players from other school weighing in to say how impressed they are. Because we're Baylor and have our share of contrarians-- no, traditionalists-- I know there are people out there that don't like them. Now is the time for your voice to be heard, even if anonymously in a poll that doesn't really matter.
Anyway, here are the three helmet designs we saw today. With them in the fold, Baylor now has 6 to choose from: traditional gold (Homecoming vs. KU, for one), matte green (last seen in the Holiday Bowl trouncing of UCLA), white (which people hate for reasons that don't entirely make sense, last seen vs. OU in Norman), the shiny gold, and the two blacks. I'll put the three new ones below.
