I know this list looks like it's just a bunch of the top recruits who have shown interest in Baylor, and that's exactly what it is. This list will change through the recruiting cycle. It's the list of recruits who could commit to Baylor and not make me surprised.

2017 Updates:

WR: Jhamon Ausbon (3/30): Decommitted today. After what many thought would be advantageous to Baylor (Mond and Ausbon transferring to IMG Academy in Florida), we have seen one of the many studs in this class decommit.  All the best wishes to Jhamon throughout the rest of his recruiting process from ODB.

WR: Omar Manning (3/30): Baylor offered today. Scout rates Manning as the number one WR in Texas for 2017. 247 has him as a 4-star.

OC: Cesar Ruiz (4/4): Released his top 12 and Baylor did not make the cut.

OL: Jayden Peevy (4/4): Committed today! 3* out of Bellaire, he will either play OL or DT. Since his 247 page says DT, I'm gonna slate him in as a DT for now. But this is a great get for Briles and Co! UPDATE (4/9): Peevy was offered as an Offensive Lineman. So, his position will be somewhere on the offensive line.

BIG UPDATES TODAY (4/15)

So, this last week was a little stressful, but I have finally updated the thread. Not much good news here today though. Baylor lost out on four recruits who I personally really liked.

The first was Adam Beck, the DB out of George Ranch in Richmond, TX. His size (6'2) for a cornerback was great, and he has terrific man-coverage skills. He committed to Houston and Tom Hermann.

The second was Grayson Reed, an OL out of Cypress Creek. He committed to Texas A&M. good size, he'll probably play tackle for A&M and he may be the next in line to be the Jake Matthews/Cedric Ogbuehi type Offensive Tackle that they always seem to have.

Thirdly, Tyrese Robinson, another OL out of McKinney, committed to Oklahoma. I will rarely say that a recruit made a bad choice of school and I certainly won't here. OU is a great program and they certainly recruited Robinson hard.

Finally, Baylor lost out on a guy who many thought we would get: WR Jaylon Jackson from Cedar Hill. If Cedar Hill sounds very familiar, it's likely because DeMarkus Lodge, a 2015 WR we REALLY wanted played there in high school. Jackson committed to Colorado, which would be a big-get for any program, but especially for Colorado; that's huge.

This has been the weekly update. If you guys like this, I'll keep doing this. I am trying out something new and unique for these posts.

Blessings,

McBeezy

WR: CeeDee Lamb (4/29): Decommitted from Oklahoma today. Baylor offered recently and could snag the 4-star WR out of Richmond, Texas.
