Waco CB Parrish Cobb flips to Baylor from Oklahoma!

It's not a "true" flip since Cobb reportedly decommitted earlier in the day, but it doesn't matter. Baylor's 22nd commit is a local product and one of the best corners in the state!

A couple of weeks ago, a Mystery Recruit visited Baylor unofficially on a Sunday afternoon to take in the sights and get a closer look at his hometown school.  That Mystery Recruit turned out to be none other than 4* CB Parrish Cobb from La Vega HS in Waco, Texas, who shocked the collective consciousness of our neighbors to the north a few minutes ago when he announced that he was flipping his commitment from Oklahoma to Baylor.  Cobb gives Baylor 22 commits for the 2016 class headed into National Signing Day tomorrow with the potential for three more should things go our way.

With Cobb in the fold, Baylor now has at least two CBs in this class that could lay claim to being the best CB in the state, the other being Grayland Arnold.  We also have a somewhat whopping 7 DB recruits, total, with the potential for another tomorrow should Brandon Jones see the light and commit to the Bears.  Cobb is an instinctual playmakers in the secondary that should play immediately and could be a tremendous asset on special teams and in the return game, as well.

I'm planning on putting together a NSD primer tonight outlining the class as currently constituted with an eye toward tomorrow's festivities, so I won't say too much more.  For now, congrats to Parrish on staying home and donning the green and gold!
