Baylor Welcomes Star-Studded Group of Recruits to Sunday Practice in Waco

A number of important recruits (and one familiar, legendary face) showed up to watch the Bears practice today.

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

Baylor finished the first week of its 2015 Spring Practice schedule with a workout today in front of a number of huge 2016 and 2017 recruits, as well as probably the greatest player in school history.  Let's start there:

That, of course, is Robert Griffin III.  He's likely in town for the upcoming Salute to Fitness event at the Ferrell Center. Hit that link for more info.  The recruits in attendance (some of whom got to meet RGIII as evidenced by their pictures):

Recruit Lists:

QB Zach Smith: The 4* 2016 QB tweeted earlier in the week that he planned to attend today, and though he has not since confirmed or denied whether he was there, several sites have reported that he was.

DT Jordan Elliott: A day after Baylor's newly-minted 4* DT didn't make the trip to Austin for their Junior Day, he was in Waco taking in practice with the Bears.

Looks like he's found the number he wants, conveniently open for him after this season with the graduation of Beau Blackshear.

WR Tren'Davian Dickson: Scout says he was there a day after not visiting Texas.

OLB/DE Erick Fowler: Reportedly also there today.  He hasn't tweeted about it yet.

S Eric Cuffee: Got an offer from Texas yesterday and reportedly attended Baylor's practice today.  He hasn't tweeted about it personally, but others have.

OLB Houston Miller: Not a name I've heard before, to be honest.

WR Tyrell Alexander:

2017 WR/S Hezekiah Jones:

2017 WR/S Jeffrey Okudah: Got an offer today from the Bears!  Has recently received offers from Auburn, Ole Miss, Florida State, Michigan, and Oklahoma, among others.

2017 ATH Greg Eisworth: He's on RGIII's right in the above picture (your left looking at it).

2017 LBs Anthony Hines and Baron Browning: Two of the absolute best in the entire country at their positions.

Oh, and ESPN's Mack Brown was there, too.  There is no truth to the rumor he was looking for Briles' QB factory in order to sell it to those clueless haps in Austin.

Once I figure out how to embed instagram posts, I'll get some of the videos from the practice itself.  Supposedly, Corey Coleman dominated (as he is wont to do).
