Mount Pleasant WR K.D. Cannon is one of the top recruits in the state and probably the top target on Baylor's board at WR, where the Bears already have a pledge from a good friend of Cannon's in WR Davion Hall. Cannon apparently attended Baylor's MBB game last night (hope he had more fun than I did watching) and is now touring the facilities, according to his twitter account. Check it out:

For Baylor to pull a commitment from the 4* WR (and I think 4* is actually underrating him somewhat), they're going to have to fight off the biggest players in Texas recruiting, including UT, OU, and A&M, in addition to several out of state powers like Notre Dame and Clemson. All of those schools have offered Cannon already, before the summer before his junior year has even started, and his list is only going to grow from there.
I'd keep an eye on this one if I were you. He's easily Baylor's top target at WR and with our recent history of recruiting and developing offensive players, we may have as good a shot as any to land his commitment. I don't think it will happen soon, though I'd love to be surprised, but it could happen somewhere down the road. Like I said, UT and OU are both hard after Cannon, as well, and have advantages of their own to offer. We'll just have to see. Here's what others are saying about Cannon's visit:
Success at developing, putting WRs in NFL paying off on recruiting trail for Baylor. Landed Robbie Rhodes last year, have shot at Kd Cannon.

Big 12 defensive coordinators should live in abject fear of possible Robbie Rhodes/Kd Cannon combo at Baylor. Would be scary good.

As always, if you're not following those two guys and you are interested in recruiting, particularly in Texas, you should be.
For now, I hope you have a good time on campus, K.D.! And that uniform suits you, if I might say so.
