National Top 100 WR Davion Hall commits to Baylor!

Baylor's invite-only first Junior Day of the 2014 recruiting season continues to bear fruit in a big way with the commitment of national Top-100 WR/S Davion Hall!

US PRESSWIRE

Coming into this weekend's festivities, Hall named a top 3 of Baylor, A&M, and Alabama, with the first two having already offered. Coming out, he's committed to Art Briles and the Baylor Bears, joining monster RB Terence Williams in Baylor's 2014 class. Two guys like that pulling the trigger makes it a pretty good day for Baylor Football.

Because of his relationship with Baylor WBB signee Imani Wright, Hall was always considered at least a slight Baylor lean. Whether that relationship would eventually lead him to Baylor, however, was not so certain. It would take a great showing at the Junior Day today to pull in his commitment. That apparently happened in a big way, and now the Bears have a cornerstone recruit early for the 2014 class.

247Sports gave Davion 4 stars and a 94 ranking, good enough for the 95th spot in their Top 247. He is listed as a safety but at 6-2, 186 (or 6-3, 193 depending on who you believe) pounds will probably play WR in Baylor's high-flying offense. 247's Composite ranking, which combines those of the other recruiting services into one, has Hall a bit lower at 118th in the country, but that's still nothing to sneeze at. Hall looks to be the next in line of Baylor's tremendous recruiting at the WR position after Corey Coleman (4*, 2012) and Robbie Rhodes (5*, 2013). If we stay true to form over the last few years, we'll probably look to take at least one more, probably two, WRs in this class. Hall is a fantastic beginning.

Only those unwilling to see it deny that Art Briles is building something in Waco. Recruits like this are just the latest step, and I have a pretty good feeling that he won't be the last of that caliber in 2014.

His HUDL highlights are public and tremendous. Take a look.
