The Baylor Bears are now 6-5 on the season and assured of a losing Big 12 record in 2016 after giving up 41 points and over 400 passing yards in the first half. The chief culprits in this one were an offense that went 6 straight possessions without scoring and a defense that gave up TDs of 35, 40, 81, 80, and 62 yards. Oh, and we lost the turnover battle 4-0.
There, I spent about as much time on this post as it appeared our staff did in getting ready for this game.
Our players deserved better than this. At least some of them — including Pat Levels, Terence Williams, Ishmael Zamora, Zach Smith, KD Cannon, the entire offensive line — gave it everything they had to the bitter end. Zach Smith, in particular, deserves respect from each and every Baylor fan in existence considering the beating he took. But they all deserved better than they got from their coaches.
