One day after covering a 33-point closing line against the Rice Owls, Baylor has opened as a 15.5-point favorite against the 3-1 Texas Tech Red Raiders in a game that will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
This is the second week in a row where the line actually surprised me a bit, but oddsmakers may be responding to Baylor's strong showing yesterday and the fact that this game will be played a neutral site. For my part, I expect that, barring news that Patrick Mahomes won't play or is, in fact, seriously limited by his leg injury from yesterday's game, for this spread to end between 10 and 12 points. But what do I know?
Vote in the poll below and give me your thoughts about this spread. Also, check out a few more notable spreads from the Big 12/state for Week 5:
TCU -18.5 vs. Texas
Oklahoma State -5 vs. Kansas State
Oklahoma -7.5 vs. West Virginia
Iowa State -14.5 vs. Kansas
Texas A&M -7 vs. Mississippi State
So outside of our neutral-site game, every home team this week is favored. Should be a fun week!
