Baylor opens as 13/14-point favorite over Texas

Coming off a close win over TCU in Fort Worth last night, the Bears have opened in the early lines as a double-digit favorite over the Texas Longhorns for this Saturday's game in Waco.

Once again, the Baylor Bears are a double-digit favorite over a Big 12 opponent, marking the first time in program history that we have been favored by 10 points or more at the open in every single conference game. I'm fairly sure it's the first time we've ever been favored in every game of a season, period, assuming the line doesn't move 14 points over the next six days.

The early lines for this game are fairly consistent at either Baylor -13.5 or -14, depending on where you look. Oddsshark has the line as of this moment at Baylor -13.5, while VegasInsider has it a tick higher at -14. For the poll below, we'll use the lower number, -13.5.

Other interesting lines offshore via Danny Sheridan:

I'm curious what people think about this Baylor-UT line. Coming off two lackluster offensive performance in a row, I imagine that most will think it a bit too high and be more comfortable with something like Baylor -9 or -10. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see this line head that direction, to be honest. Keep in mind that TCU and OSU were almost certainly the two best non-Baylor, or best period, defenses in the conference. TCU also had two full weeks to prepare for us before playing what they've referred to as their bowl game this season.

Vote in the poll below and give me your thoughts in the comments, if you would. With a win, Baylor can secure a share of the Big 12 Conference and get to 11-1. We're at home, where we play significantly better than on the road.
