Right now the only thing that looks worse than Petty's back is Chris Callahan's short field goal attempts...and even that may not be worse. I think this sums up my feelings on the actual first half vs my expectations:

The defense has been incredible. I definitely did not expect to see this many 3 man fronts and nobody should expect to get this much pressure with just 3 guys. 5 sacks, 5 different players - Oakman, Blackshear, KJ Smith, Magee and LB Tyler Young. The SMU QBs are having just a miserable time. At a certain point, I began to wonder if they started switching QBs so frequently because neither wanted to go in to face more green shirts in the backfield.
