The Big News
For the second time in two weeks, Baylor announced suspensions the night before the game. This time, however, it wasn't players being forced to sit out; it's coaches. If you haven't seen the news, Baylor OC Kendal Briles and WR coach Tate Wallis will not participate in today's game as a result of improper contact with recruits during the 2015 spring evaluation period. That means they were talking to some recruit (or group of recruits) when they shouldn't, and they'll sit out today as a punishment. From what I can tell, that's the standard punishment.
In case you were wondering, Baylor also announced that Jeff Lebby, RB coach and Passing Game Coordinator for the Bears, will step in and call the plays. Considering it's his first time to do so, we know almost nothing about his tendencies. That's slightly less than we know about KB's, if we're being honest.
In all likelihood, these suspensions won't matter much, if at all, to the outcome of the game. Our play-calling is a collaborative effort by and among a number of coaches, all of whom are in constant contact on the sideline. That's not going to change.

The news broke this week when Texas Tech announced the University of Texas is charging members of the Red Raider Goin' Band $100 each for seats to the Thanksgiving Day football game on Nov. 26. If the visitors' band doesn't accompany the team, Lamar simply puts the reserved seats up for regular ticket sales. Because of the sticker shock for band members' tickets at Baylor, Sattler said, "We decided not to take the band."
