Halftime: Baylor 14, Iowa State 21

New, 103 comments

In a first half stunningly marred by offensive ineptitude from both sides, the Baylor Bears enter halftime trailing Iowa State by a touchdown.

What a strange, strange half of football. It began with a terrible onside kick that Baylor very nearly booted, included numerous blown plays the likes of which we've become accustomed to seeing, and saw our offense score only 14 points despite the chance for so much more.

Fault the defense all you want for terrible play on third and fourth downs (and for giving up that drive before the half), but our offense is the reason we're trailing right now. The really bad news is that but for (I think) 9 drops from the Iowa State offense, this game could be extremely ugly right now.
