Ladies and gentlemen, it is football season once again. The winter (spring, and summer) of discontent is over, and it's time to resume our regular weekly schedule of game week posts! As is the custom, we're kicking this game week off with the Meet the Press event, where both coaches interact with the media in advance of the game. Unless you're living under a rock, you know that Baylor plays at SMU on Friday night at 6 p.m. on ESPN. It's going to be fun.
Earlier today SMU's brand new head coach Chad Morris met with the media. Just a couple of tweets:
First-year SMU coach Chad Morris says there will be a lot of energy in the stadium in Dallas with No. 4 Baylor in the house.

Given SMU's location, I'm hoping that we have a strong Baylor contingent turning out for this game.
Morris says Baylor is a huge challenge and it will be a great gauge where the SMU program is at.

This is true for both squads. Morris is known for building solid offenses, so it could be a decent early test for this defense to see where it is.
Briles also met with the media earlier today. Here's some notes on what he had to say:
Briles on Seth Russell: "We're extremely confident. He hasn't done anything to disprove what everybody thinks about him."
— Craig Smoak (@CraigSmoak) August 31, 2015
Even with controversy surrounding program, Briles says his players have remained real focused coming into SMU game.

CAB: "Our penalties have been a little bothersome over the last couple of years. That's an area where we'd certainly like to clean up on."

Coach Briles takes center stage at 1:00 p.m. CDT. If you're interested to watch/hear the press conference, you can click the link here:
