A late kickoff for the first game in McLane Stadium history should give plenty of time for a day full of tail/sailgating and revelry about the start of a new chapter in the history of Baylor Football.

I've gone back and forth about scheduling the first game for that Sunday night, but with the added exposure of being FS1's premier game that weekend and the fact that the NFL won't start for another week, I think it makes sense. Plus, I'm guessing they'll appreciate the day off between the first real event at the stadium, the HS game schedule for Friday night, and the Sunday night opener for the Bears. That way, if something goes really wrong, you have at least 36 hours to try to get it fixed before the green and gold-clad masses appear on Sunday morning.
I'm shivering with anticipa---tion. Now we just have to get through this blasted offseason and get the 2014 season started!
