That's like ... 100 days too many.
#BaylorNation, we're 100 days from kickoff. Deadline for renewals is May 29, May 31 for BBF. baylortix.com/fb12/ twitter.com/BUFootball/sta…

I need Bryce Petty throwing bombs, Lache Seastrunk slashing through the line, Bryce Hager filling gaps, Ahmad Dixon talkin' mess, and Tevin Reese prancing through an open secondary. It's still such a new feeling to have questions with answers that aren't depressing, like how we're going to handle having so many potential playmakers at DE, and which of our speedy receivers is going to catch the most passes.
Look at that schedule and tell me it's not favorable to a great run. Byes before and after ULM, a long week to prepare for a primetime game against Oklahoma should keep us fresh and give our new QB a chance to learn from his inevitable mistakes. Before Thanksgiving, we leave the state of Texas a grand total of two times, both to go to Kansas. We only play 4 true "away" games in the entire season.
Last year, going into the season, I picked out at least 2 games I thought we had basically no chance to win: @OU and vs. Oklahoma State, the latter because we hadn't beaten them since I was in school. We won one and lost the other, a game where Nick Florence battled the flu and 30+ mph winds. This year, I don't see any games, not a single one, that is a definite loss. We have the talent now, on both sides of the ball, to compete in every single week. It helps that we get OU and Texas, the traditional powers of our league, at home, though it doesn't help to go to TCU and Oklahoma State.
I couldn't be more excited about how special this year might be. The 2013 Baylor Bears are going to surprise some folks.
