First Spring Practice Depth Chart

After talking with someone who was there today, here's the way things shook out for most of the positions on the field. We're waving our hands a bit on some of the skill positions, which may or may not even be known at this point.

Jerome Miron-US PRESSWIRE

The guy I talked to didn't see everything but said he'll give a better look the next time he can, so check back. This is what we know as of this moment in the familiar table formats (this is how things actually were today, not how I'm projecting them to be in the fall, so it's a bit different and probably more useful):

OFFENSE

FIRST TEAM SECOND TEAM
QB Bryce Petty (JR) Seth Russell (RS-Fr)
RB Lache Seastrunk (JR) Rashodrick Linwood (RS-Fr_
UB Glasco Martin (SR) Devin Chafin (RS-Fr)
WR Antwan Goodley (JR) Corey Coleman (RS-Fr)
IR Tevin Reese (SR) Corey Coleman (RS-Fr)
IR Levi Norwood (JR) Clay Fuller (JR)
WR Jay Lee (SO Clay Fuller (JR)
Kaleb Moore (RS-Fr)
TE Jordan Najvar (SR) Jerod Monk (SR)
LT Spencer Drango (SO) Pat Colbert (SO)
LG Cyril Richardson (SR) LaQuan McGowan (SO)
C Kelvin Palmer (SR) Kyle Fuller (RS-Fr)
RG Stefan Huber (SR) Desmine Hilliard (SO)
RT Troy Baker (JR) Tre'Von Armstead (RS-Fr)

At this point, things look about as we expected on the offensive line, so kudos to us there. It's probably our best five should the season start today.

I'm trying to get more info on the skill positions, but it may be that we just don't have a set lineup there and are rotating guys through.

DEFENSE

FIRST TEAM SECOND TEAM
LE Terrance Lloyd (SR) Shawn Oakman (JR)
DT Trevor Clemons-Valdez (SO) Suleiman Masumbuko (SO)
NG Beau Blackshear (SO) Zorell Ezell (RS-Fr)
RE Chris McAllister (SR) Javonte Magee (SO)
WLB Eddie Lackey (SR) Kendall Ehrlich (RS- FR)
MLB Bryce Hager (JR) Aiavion Edwards (RS-Fr)
NB Sam Holl (SR) Prince Kent (SR)
CB Demetri Goodson (SR)
Tuswani Copeland (JR)
K.J. Morton (SR)
DS Ahmad Dixon (SR) Terrence Singleton (RS-Fr)
CS Terell Burt (SO)
Patrick Levels (RS-Fr)
CB Joe Williams (SR) Xavien Howard (RS-Fr)

So there you go. Depending on who plays at WR, I think we might have "missed" one starter across the entire team from our prognostications the last few days. That's pretty good, I guess.

Thoughts? Anything surprise you?
