This Week in Baylor History -- Robert Griffin III Wins the 2011 Heisman Trophy
Since I've now done it twice, it's basically a blog tradition for me to completely miss the actual anniversary of the first Heisman Trophy win in Baylor history. Two tries, two failures.
My favorite picture in the SB Nation archives, bar none.

Just about two years ago, on December 10, 2011, the Way Things Are for Baylor Football changed forever with Robert Griffin III's victory of the 2011 Heisman Trophy. He will forever be Baylor's first Heisman winner ever, though the likelihood that he could soon be joined has definitely increased since that point with the continued recruitment and development of electrifying, game-breaking talents like Bryce Petty and Lache Seastrunk. After not being named a finalist this year, Petty, in particular, should be considered among the favorites for 2014, his senior year.
Just for the fun of it, here's RGIII's 2011 statistics against those of the QB finalists this year:
Now, it must be noted that RGIII's 2011 stats are from his entire season of 13 games. Neither Manziel nor McCarron played in their conference championship game, so they've only played 12 games.
