Baylor's Next Defensive Coordinator

In this thread, I'm going to collect all the information I can about potential replacements for DC Phil Bennett. If you have a suggestion, good or bad, please share it so we can rifle through the names.

When we found out in 2010 that Art Briles had finally decided he'd seen enough of Brian Norwood and was bringing in a proven name in Phil Bennett, I was ecstatic. Bennett's defenses had performed so well in so many other places that I was sure he would improve our own unit, whose performance under Norwood culminated in that horrible Texas Bowl play where we only put nine players on the field.

Two years later, I can say with full certainty that I was wrong. Phil Bennett is not the answer. I'm still not 100% sure that Briles will fire him-- if the Jarred Salubi mess has taught us anything it is that Briles is loyal above all else-- but he absolutely should. With the way this season has gone, my hope is that there will be too much pressure not to.

So who do we get to replace him? Where do we go? That's what this thread will attempt to figure out.
