Well, well, well. The "three undefeated teams" thing couldn't last and it's TCU that took the first defeat at the hands of Oklahoma State. Oklahoma, meanwhile, rolled past Iowa State with ease in a tune-up game. Baylor handled Kansas State and though the defense slacked off late, Stidham was incredible. Elsewhere in the Big 12, Texas beat Kansas (Kansas is really, really bad), and West Virginia held off Texas Tech. Let's rank 'em.
1. Baylor Bears (+0)
There's a good argument for putting Okie State here, but Baylor has won every single one of their games convincingly (okay, maybe KSU was a bit iffy, but they never *really* in danger of losing) and their offense is still the best in the land. Anyway, I'm just #ReadyForOU.
2. Oklahoma State Cowboys (+2)
They have the biggest win in the Big 12 thus far, but they've also struggled mightily in previous games. That being said, the Cowboys looked really, really, really good against TCU on Saturday. Suddenly Baylor's trip to Stillwater looks even more perilous.
3. Oklahoma Sooners (+0)
Baker Mayfield might run all over Baylor. Will Mike Stoops give Corey Coleman et al. 15 yards on every play again? We'll find out soon!
4. TCU Horned Frogs (-2)
They played like Baylor played in Stillwater. Sorry for bringing that up...
5. West Virginia Mountaineers (+1)
They beat Tech, which puts them at the top of this "Middle of the Big 12" pack.
6. Texas Tech Red Raiders (-1)
They beat Arkansas, who beat Ole Miss, who beat Bama. But Bama is the best so none of this matters.
7. Kansas State Wildcats (+0)
K-State play really well one week and really poor the next. They just don't have the players this year to be a great team.
8. Iowa St. Cyclones (+0)
You know who Texas didn't beat? The Cyclones. :)
9. Texas Longhorns (+0)
They weren't going to lose to Kansas. They still lost to Iowa State and probably aren't going to make a bowl.
10. Kansas Jayhawks (+0)
Y'all are awful.
