Big 12 Power Rankings: Week Twelve

Baylor won! That means they move up! TCU almost won, but then Gary decided to "save" his players for Baylor. NOT A RIVALRY THOUGH!

Well, well, well. That was a fun day yesterday. The Buckeyes (finally) lost, The Citadel beat Sakerlina, Florida very nearly (and probably should have) lost to another FCS school, and Notre Dame put forth an atrocious performance against one of the worst teams in the nation. Oh, Baylor won, if you hadn't heard. How does this affect the Big 12 rankings? Let's find out, shall we?

Last week's rankings.

1. Oklahoma Sooners (+0)

So close. The Sooners very nearly blew their game against the Horned Frogs. Nearly. Despite losing Baker Mayfield to a vicious targeting penalty (seriously, it was bad), the Sooners were still able to limp to the finish line and Steven Parker saved the Sooners' season by batting the Kohlhausen's pass on TCU's 2-point conversion attempt. If Mayfield has remained healthy the entire game, the result might have been much different. Then again, if OU hadn't body slammed Stidham last week... The Sooners will hope he is back for Bedlam.

2. Baylor Bears (+1)

Next. Freaking. Man. Up. What an outstanding performance from back-ups across the board from the Bears. The defense gave what was perhaps the finest defensive performance I've ever seen from a Baylor team and that man Chris Johnson knows how to sling it. A really, really impressive victory from the Bears.

3. Oklahoma State Cowboys (-2)

Please beat OU. And maybe find a running game. The Cowboys' DBs are legit though.

4. TCU Horned Frogs (+0)

CABBAGE BELUGA

Seriously. I want to beat TCU into the ground. Friday gonna be funnnnn (and cold).

5. West Virginia Mountaineers (+0)

The 'Eers are bowl eligible after obliterating Kansas. This team is better than their record.

6. Texas Tech Red Raiders (+0)

On a bye this week, but they play Texas on Thanksgiving in Austin. That'll be a fun one to watch.

7-9. Kansas State Wildcats, Iowa St. Cyclones, and Texas Longhorns

I have no idea. KNEEL THE DANG BALL CYCLONES.

10. Kansas Jayhawks (-0)

Good grief, y'all are terrrrible.
