With all but the final game of the College Football Playoff played the "coaching carousel" has been in full swing for awhile now, but we learned tonight that it hit Baylor once again: former Baylor Offensive Coordinator and now Tulsa Golden Hurricane head coach Philip Montgomery has hired Baylor's Safeties and Associate Head Coach Brian Norwood to be the Golden Hurricane's Co-Defensive Coordinator. The news came in the form of a tweet from the official Tulsa Hurricane account:
Tulsa's Montgomery names Baylor Associate HC & safeties coach Brian Norwood Co-Defensive Coordinator & safeties coach for Hurricane.

Norwood has been a coach at Baylor for the past seven years and served as Baylor's defensive coordinator prior to the arrival of Phil Bennett. His son, Levi Norwood, played his final game on January 1st in the Cotton Bowl. There's no immediate word on who will replace Norwood to coach the Secondary, but we will keep you posted on any developments on that front as they appear.
Good luck, Coach Norwood, and thank you for your years of service to the Baylor Bears.
