Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

College Football Award Season is upon us, and Baylor has put ten Bears onto the AP's All-Big 12 first and second teams. Released early this afternoon, the AP's list was selected by a group of 20 sportswriters who regularly cover the Big 12 for their respective newspapers. Five of the ten Bears on the list were first-team selections, with two on the offensive side of the ball and three on the defensive side. Notably, OT Spencer Drango was one of only five unanimous selections in the entire list. Congratulations, Spencer!

Also, big congratulations owed to LB Taylor Young, who was awarded the Defensive Newcomer of the Year award. Coming into the year there was a good deal of uncertainty surrounding the Bears' linebacking corps, and Young stepped up in a big way, becoming an impact player early on in the season. Congratulations, Taylor!
