Week 14 College Football Playoff Rankings -- Baylor ??

New, 312 comments

In less than an hour (6:00 Central again), ESPN will bestow the latest CFB Playoff Rankings upon us from on high. Where do you think Baylor will be?

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

NOTE: This week's CFB Playoff Ranking show will take place at 6:00 PM CST on ESPN2, so set your dials accordingly.

Much has happened since we gathered a week ago to find out that MSU's loss to Alabama didn't hurt that bad, Ohio State was going to jump us, and Alabama was the new #1.  Now, after a weekend with almost no upheaval in the top 10 save Ole Miss getting absolutely plastered by Arkansas, we're back to find out which new logical Hell Jeff Long will cast us into as a fanbase.

For the sake of argument, I'll go ahead and give you my prediction for tonight's rankings, which will be in this post as soon as they are available.

Top 4

1. Alabama Crimson Tide
2. Oregon Ducks
3. Florida State Seminoles
4. Mississippi St. Bulldogs

On the Cusp

5. TCU Horned Frogs
6. Ohio State Buckeyes
7. Baylor Bears
8. UCLA Bruins

We're apparently really doing this thing where UCLA is actually considered a contender for the CFB Playoff despite having two losses and best wins over both overrated Arizona schools.  What a time to be alive!

As I've now repeated numerous times, please do not freak out when we're #7 again behind TCU and Ohio State. Win out and get left out, and we can pile into the ragewagon, which I currently have idling out back, just ready to go.

UPDATE: The rankings, exactly as I said they'd be.
